Rachel Doyle SC
SPECIALIST IN CLASS ACTIONS, INDUSTRIAL, EMPLOYMENT AND DISCRIMINATION LAW
Rachel Doyle SC has practised at the Victorian Bar since 1996, and was made senior counsel in 2009. She is a specialist in Class Actions, Industrial, Employment and Discrimination Law. She also has significant experience in common law claims involving novel torts, civil penalty proceedings, Royal Commissions and inquests.
Before joining the Bar, Rachel was associate to Sir Daryl Dawson of the High Court between July 1994 and February 1996. Rachel obtained her Arts and Law degrees from Adelaide University.
In 2021, Rachel wrote the book “Power and Consent”, published as part of the Monash University Publishing series “In the National Interest.” The book focused on the Dyson Heydon scandal and considered the question of sexual harassment in the workplace. It is now a prescribed text for new barristers who join the Victorian Bar and is often used in training judges around Australia.
