Sean Baker
List Leader for China in the Protection Jurisdictional Area of the Administrative Review Tribunal
Sean is the List Leader for China in the Protection Jurisdictional Area of the Administrative Review Tribunal. He has experience as a decision maker on a range of Tribunals and Panels. His expertise is protection, migration and administrative law and he has worked in these areas for over 20 years.
He holds a Master of Laws from ANU and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) / Arts from the University of Melbourne and is admitted to practice in the ACT. He is immediate past President of the Asia Pacific chapter of the International Association of Refugee and Migration Judges. He enjoys and regularly presents training within and outside the Tribunal using skills he developed whilst being trained to teach English as a Second Language in Greece and Turkiye.
