Judge Simon Moglia
County Court of Victoria
Judge Simon Moglia was appointed to the County Court in March 2022. Prior to this, he was in practice at the Victorian Bar for 16 years, mainly in criminal and related administrative law cases. He had particular interests in the intersection of mental health and the criminal law, risk assessment, serious offender supervision, young offenders, and sentencing. He started his legal career at Victoria Legal aid as a duty lawyer and Associate Public Defender. Before that, his Honour worked in youth policy and as an advisor to a number of international non-government organisations.
