Dr Andrew Dallas

Dr Andrew Dallas is currently Chief of the Authority. He has held this position since August 2019. Andrew was first appointed to the Authority in November 2015. Prior to that he worked as a lawyer for the Mining and Energy Division of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union in Sydney, Australia, Hall Payne Lawyers in Brisbane, Australia and the New Zealand Public Service Association in Wellington. Andrew is co-author (with Alex Bukarica) of Good Faith Bargaining under the Fair Work Act 2009: Lessons from the Collective Bargaining Experience in Canada and New Zealand (Federation Press). Andrew has held several New Zealand Government appointments including to the Pike River Expert Reference Group and the New Zealand Mining Board of Examiners. He is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Law Futures Centre, Griffith Law School, Australia
