Annette McMullan
President, Mental Health Review Tribunal
Ms McMullan was appointed as President of the Mental Health Review Tribunal 2018 for a five-year term, after serving in the role on a temporary basis. In addition to her legal qualifications, Ms McMullan has broad experience across the public sector practising as a registered nurse and midwife prior to completing her legal studies in 2000. Ms McMullan was the Chief Legal Counsel for Queensland Health from 2011 to 2017 – a role that she found entirely challenging but utterly rewarding both personally and professionally. She has held prior legal roles at Crown Law and Metro North Hospital and Health Service in Brisbane. Outside of work, Annette spends her time as an empty nester enjoying walking and hiking through the bush tracks close to where she lives and relishes in the time she gets to spend with her grandson.
