Angela Martinovich

Australian Psychological Society, Clinical and Forensic College

Angela is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist in WA. She is a Founding Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, a member of both the Clinical and Forensic Australian Psychological Society Colleagues and a member of the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychology, Psychiatry and Law.

Since 2004 she has been the owner and Clinical Director of a group of psychology practices operating in three WA towns. Here Angela and her team of Clinical, Forensic and Organisational Psychologists provide a bespoke suite of services to state and federal Government departments,  including amongst others, The Defence Forces, all three Emergency Services, Judicial Officers, and Specialist Forensic Practitioners across a range of professions including Law, Medicine and Science.  Angela also held the lead psychologist position and worked within WA Police Force for 19 years providing consultancy services to investigations, officers, victims and offenders.

She has specialised in the selection, training and maintenance of personnel operating in high risk/high trauma occupations. This interest attracted Angela towards the largely under-studied area of Judicial mental health and in 2017, at the invitation of the WA Inter-Jurisdictional Committee, she began exploring the health and wellbeing of Judicial Officers across all WA Courts. Since then she has expanded her research nationally via her involvement in National Judicial College of Australia events and continues to work regularly with Judicial Officers in a variety of ways, including the provision of training and therapy.
