Executive Officer of Queensland Mental Health Review Tribunal

Jade Madden has worked in Queensland’s mental health system for over two decades. She is currently the Executive Officer of Queensland’s Mental Health Review Tribunal and has previously held the positions of Registrar of the Mental Health Court and Director of the Legislation Unit in the Office of the Chief Psychiatrist.

Possessing a Masters in Health Law, Jade is also a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law and the Australasian Institute of Judicial Administration.

Jade is particularly interested in workplace culture and best practice principles in relation to the management and leadership of tribunal offices and registries. To that end, she leads roundtable discussions for registrars and executive officers of mental health tribunals (and their equivalents) throughout Australia.
