Judge Thian Yee Sze
Principal District Judge Thian Yee Sze, State Courts of Singapore
Yee Sze is a Principal District Judge in the State Courts of Singapore, overseeing the Community Justice and Tribunals Cluster. The Cluster hears a broad spectrum of civil cases, including contract, employment, harassment and other relational disputes within the community. A substantial part of the work of the Cluster involves Self-Represented Persons.
Yee Sze is also the Chairman of the Income Tax Board of Review, the Chairman of the Expert Board for Appeals under the Carbon Pricing Act, a member of the Complaints Panel under the Medical Registration Act, a member of the Registration of Criminals Act 2022 Reviewing Tribunal, a member of the Singapore Law Reports Selection Panel, a member of the Singapore Academy of Law Commissioning Advisory Panel and a member of the Singapore Academy of Law Legal Heritage Advisory Committee.
She has held various positions in her previous postings in the Singapore public service, including with the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Law and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
