Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal
John Adams, a published poet, holds a PhD in English literature. He was a District Court and Family Court Judge in New Zealand for 25 years. He is presently Deputy Chair of the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal. For decades (and on various topics), he has led education and coaching for lawyers, judges and others. He currently teaches courtcraft to lay judges throughout the Pacific. John serves on the faculty of New Zealand’s annual 3-day Judgment Writing Workshop. He tries to write lively decisions that provide adequate reasons.
