Theresa Simon
Principal Member, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal & Conference Chair
Theresa Simon is a Principal Member of the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT). She joined the former Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal as Member in 2012 and continued when NCAT with formed in NSW. She was initially appointed a Principal Member the Consumer and Commercial Division and more recently has bene appointed as the Principal member of the Administrative and Equal Opportunity Division. She also regularly hers matters on the Appeal Panel. Theresa primarily practised as a solicitor in private practice in Western Sydney and established the Home Building Advocacy Service at Macquarie Legal Centre. She has lectured in Law at Western Sydney University. From 2011-2013 she was appointed as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with Legal Aid. Theresa was previously a secondary school teacher in Western Sydney and continues to have a passion for education
